『AVALANCHE』Post release

 I have to say.

My Opinion has really changed since that short 1:30 version, the only thing that stands still is the talk about the experimentation at the end of my last blog. I also have to say, when AVALANCHE was first shown, I was very angry 😂
And that reflected in the blog that I wrote back then, as you could tell.

So now, listening to AVALANCHE, I have to say that I'm really enjoying it now I still have my gripes about the first 1:40 of the song. At the time I considered it radical for UVERworld, conveniently ignoring Making it Drive's existence... So now that I look at it, I totally understand what's happening. But I have to say that this is basically if Making it Drive and elements of AS ONE were smashed together. I guess you can call it an ODD FUTURE. But enough of trying to relate it to other songs, because really, every UVERworld song is unique, no matter how you try to spin it, of course, there's "style" but that's quite a vague concept in music.

So my current opinion is this: I love listening to it, but I have gripes still with the first 1:40 like I said, and the mix of the song... and Takuya being under constant pitch shift for the chorus. But basically, I enjoy it enough now that I can totally listen to it. Again, I  see this being like HOURGLASS live where it just turns into an entirely different song.

It does make me think, I wish they did something like Scandal where they had two versions, the main composition, and then some other version (usually more instrumental).

But there, I'll say it: I enjoy AVALANCHE.

I hope ET will have a bigger impression on me at first listen!

(oh yeah, and Katsuya being part of the credit surprised me a lot!)
