UVERworldwide Blog

UVERworld needs to release a DVD this year. It's as simple as that. for the past two years, UVERworld hasn't released a DVD. (unless you count ACT 3 lol). UVERworld has done a lot of live streams to be fair, however, the 2021 stream left a lot to be desired, with them playing what was basically a UNSER era setlist with EN at the end (best song). I am really really really hoping that they release a DVD of the XMAS 2021 live, considering that there weren't digests and there was a web magazine release of the live, I have been really hopeful, but the wait is just really tiring. UVERworld (Takuya) has also stated that there will be no Summer / Fall lives this year because he wants to do a live at Nissan stadium (70000 cap, this means that they will have to release singles, DVDs and other related stuff. Takuya even said in one of his blogs that he wants to release an album this year, I have my doubts about that, but it'd make sense if he wants to do Nissan stadium next year. ...

 ET is AWESOME! A song born out of the love for LAID BACK OCEANS vocalist that brings out what UVERworld is all about... Fusion! I had really high hopes for ET, I heard it was sorta like ConneQt but my expectations were completely blown out of the water!!! I think the song is sorta like Forget and itteki no ekyou and Sirius combined hehehhehehhehee I LOVE IT SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA This makes me so excited for the album, but I will reserve my judgement since we all know what happened when rob the frontier was released... but again I'm even more optimistic  😍 AVALANCHE / ET is stacking up to be an amazing single!!!!!!! paired with its amazing LE content, this may be my fav single this era 😭😭😭 I can't wait for everyone in the world to hear this song :DDDD

 I have to say. My Opinion has really changed since that short 1:30 version, the only thing that stands still is the talk about the experimentation at the end of my last blog. I also have to say, when AVALANCHE was first shown, I was very angry 😂 And that reflected in the blog that I wrote back then, as you could tell. So now, listening to AVALANCHE, I have to say that I'm really enjoying it now I still have my gripes about the first 1:40 of the song. At the time I considered it radical for UVERworld, conveniently ignoring Making it Drive's existence... So now that I look at it, I totally understand what's happening. But I have to say that this is basically if Making it Drive and elements of AS ONE were smashed together. I guess you can call it an ODD FUTURE. But enough of trying to relate it to other songs, because really, every UVERworld song is unique, no matter how you try to spin it, of course, there's "style" but that's quite a vague concept in musi...

 So AVALANCHE was announced. This is how I see it: This is everything that UVERworld has learnt since ODD FUTURE, good and evil, EDEN e, Making it Drive, AFTER LIFE, stay on , muimininaruyoru, OXYMORON , One Last Time, HOURGLASS, Teenage Love and LIVIN' IT UP. Into its mature form. UVERworld has 2-3 songs left like this that they will make. And I'll state this now that... I'm not that big of a fan of it. However... I don't hate it. I, personally listen to a lot of electronic music, and I appreciate what UVERworld has done to try and improve their ability to make "EDM' (in quotes because this isn't actually EDM, it's just what people seem to be calling it). However, I could totally listen to any other artist and get a much better outcome because... UVERworld first and foremost is a BAND! AFTER LIFE. I saw a blog by takuya a couple days ago where, he talked about the after life, it reminded me of the song of course but, I was taken aback by it because, I had never actually looked at the words in question "AFTER LIFE". Because it's a Japanese song, I was used to not looking into the meaning of song titles. but.. the song really is about "the after life". I just wanted to say that because, I had never thought about it like that  before... it really puts a new sorta light onto the song for me... I'm working on a blog about the 2021 sept lives (they were fucking amazing) but I'm struggling with words so give me a bit of time please :( 

 SO, the SOUL music video came out! I love both SOUL and rai chou e so much now!!! (a massive change from hearing it live) I feel like I really need to hear UVERsongs in studio first... ANYWAY I like both MV's very much but... SOUL. SOUL's music video makes me uncomfortable in many places, it's mostly the girls who are being used as eye-canny. It's really strange to me, but I know uver has been doing this since shaka laka so idk... but I really don't like it when the women interact with the members in such a lewd way, there's a scene where they are touching kacchan and... idk it's just very uncomfortable to me... I don't like the "male gaze" (ignore the ironic sexism in that phrase) and like... aren't all the members married??? I might be wrong but... it just doesn't sit right for me. Everything else in the music video is totally fun.. just... that part... Anyway, I cant wait to get my CD, I've ordered TYPE-rai chou e because I don...
